Biography

Ir Dr Jaime Yeung is the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Concrete Institute. Jaime has extensive expertise in the development and application of cementitious and polymeric materials. This includes various types of concrete, dry mortars, and polymer-based products such as polymer latex, epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea, and polyaspartic materials. Jaime holds a PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Lincoln University. Throughout his career, Jaime has been dedicated to advancing industry standards and enhancing the professional standing of practitioners.

Message

It is my great honour to write this message for the proceedings of the 2026 International Concrete Conference, co-organised by the Standing Committee on Concrete Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Concrete Institute. This conference serves as a valuable international platform for academic exchange and knowledge sharing in modern concrete technology and sustainable construction.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to the success of this conference. My deepest thanks go to the organising committee members for their selfless dedication and meticulous preparation. I offer special appreciation to the Chairlady, Ir Dr Fiona Chan, for her outstanding leadership, tireless efforts and excellent coordination throughout the entire organising process.

I am also grateful to all supporting organisations for their generous backing, and to all distinguished guests for gracing this conference with their presence. Special thanks are extended to our esteemed speakers from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas, whose insightful presentations and professional expertise have underpinned the academic value of this event.

Last but not least, my heartfelt appreciation goes to every conference attendee. Your participation and support are fundamental to the success of this conference.
